Made Marion is owned, operated, and managed by one person: Me!
Hi, I'm Hannah, the seamstress and designer behind Made Marion, a shop dedicated to slow fashion and crafting beautiful pieces for Every Body.
My grandmother, Marion Crick (I'm named after her!), was a seamstress who loved to give of herself and her craft. She taught my mother, who taught me, and engrained a love of sewing and the power of turning a simple piece of cloth into beautiful clothing.
I began Made Marion because I saw a need for plus size fantasy items in a world that was desperate for whimsy and escapism. I wanted the clothing I made to be comfortable enough that you could wear it at the ren faire or to the office. Every design starts with this basic question: "What do I want to wear?"
So I made my bodices without boning, my dresses reversible, my capes with big dramatic hoods. I prioritized lacing and comfortable fabrics to accommodate a body that is ever in flux. Because everyone deserves to feel whimsical and beautiful.
Every item sold in my shop is handmade and hand sewn by me. I'm a one-woman-team, and I'm honored and blessed to do this job full time.
